Resorts World Las Vegas is currently set to open its doors on the 24th of June 2021. With the opening just a few months away, the casino has started taking guest reservations for the opening, as well as filling job positions. Resorts World Las Vegas is on track to be 95% open in time for the June opening date, with the hope being complete operation by the 4th of July.

Resorts World Aiming for 4th of July

The casino currently has thousands of job openings that the casino is continuing to fill them. The President of Resorts World stated that they are fully committed to opening this summer, but they feel it is really important to be open by the 4th of July. Las Vegas is expecting one of the largest 4th of July weekends in a long time, so it makes sense that Resorts World Las Vegas wants to open its doors in time.

The casino will be a limited-smoking casino, with smoking permitted only on the casino floor. While 95% of the casino will be operational at the end of June, they also hope to bring additional facilities online by the 4th of July. However, the 5000-seat concert hall will only open during the fall. There are already some big plans for the concert facilities, with big-name stars like Celine Dion, Katy Perry, and Carrie Underwood expected to perform once it opens. The casino will also eventually be connected to Elon Musk’s underground Tesla People Mover, which will connect Resorts World to the Las Vegas Convention Center, but this won’t happen until 2022.

Overview of Resorts World

Resorts World Las Vegas will use three separate Hilton-branded hotels to accommodate visitors. All gaming, shopping, and Dining loyalty points will be earned through Genting Rewards. There will be over 40 food and beverage locations and also the largest pool deck in Las Vegas, along with the only infinity pool on the strip.

It is the first new hotel and casino to be built on the strip in over ten years. The last casino resort to open was the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, opening in December 2010. At the time, the Cosmopolitan cost $4.1 billion, and was the most expensive resort in Las Vegas history.
